Matt & Eleri, Wedding, Somerset 2011

We had the most perfect day and Morrigan Dagda finished it off in true style.  So many guests commented on how fantastic the band was and what a good choice you all were.  The caller was brilliant and got everyone dancing.

We wanted an upbeat and energetic band and you delivered exactly as promised.  Even the Manager at the venue said that she had never seen so many people get up to dance at a wedding and that is thanks to your upbeat, fun and well organised set, so thank you!

Thanks for your fantastic performance at our wedding. The ceilidh got everyone up and dancing and having a good time, even people who don’t normally dance!

The music was great, it suited us because we were looking for an energetic ceilidh band who would play the traditional tunes with a bit of a modern twist (our worst fear was that it would feel like a tired OAP tea party, but there was no danger of that).

Everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the groom who normally wouldn’t dare venture onto the dance floor unless he is certain not to remember it the following morning.

What a great way to start our married life!

We’d just like to say a huge thank you for Saturday and everything that went into preparing, setting up and packing away!!  Please pass on our thanks to the rest of the band!   You were all amazing and helped to make it a really special day – we both have lots of great flashbacks of crazy dancing! Again, thank you soo much!!  You are a special group of people!!

Ceri & Phil, Wedding, Wales, 2011.

We booked the Morrigan Dagda Ceilidh Band for our wedding on the 3rd of June 2011 and could not have been happier with our choice.  They looked and sounded fantastic in our venue and had the ability to read the room perfectly, which helped create an amazing atmosphere.  Ceri and I wanted a lively, interactive ceilidh band that was guaranteed to get the uncles up dancing.   By sunset, all our family and friends were doing a jig.

Ceri and I love live music, it was therefore only natural that we wanted to incorporate as much as possible on our wedding day.  After weeks of searching we were struggling to find a good band that we could afford.  By chance we stumbled upon the Morrigan Dagda Ceilidh Band website and loved their music.  After confirming their availability the band quoted a fair price and could provide everything we required and some more.  Sam even agreed to set up the PA and microphone in advance for our speeches.  This saved us a lot hassle and only cost a little extra.  We could also plug our laptop into their PA so we could play music from iTunes during the wedding breakfast and interval.

From the moment we booked the Morrigan Dagda Ceilidh Band we had regular correspondence over the phone and via email.  Their ‘nothing is too much trouble’ approach was spot on.  Our main contact was Sam, he was very friendly and approachable throughout the planning and made it easy for us to make requests. We asked the band if they could perform some chilled out folk music, a ceildh, the odd recognisable song (with vocals), some of our favourites with a folk twist and our first dance with lyrics re-written by ourselves.  We never imagined that they would be able to fulfil all our requests but they did, add to that their own repertoire and ideas and we had a ceilidh band that was perfect for our day.

If you are looking for a great sounding, friendly and reliable ceilidh band then you should definitely check these guys out.
